No, it is not necessary to make reservations at New York CityPASS attractions, and most attractions do not accept reservations for CityPASS holders; however, three attractions do allow you to secure a ticket in advance if you wish. At Top of the Rock, you may reserve a time in advance online at www.topoftherocknyc.com/redeemcitypass, or you may go to in person to the box office in advance of your desired visit day/time to reserve a time, as long as your visit time falls within the 9-day CityPASS validity period.
At Statue Cruises, you have up to three days to board a cruise after securing your boarding pass in person. Once you have your boarding pass, you can proceed directly to security upon your return at your desired cruise time, but please allow at least 45 minutes for security and boarding.
At Circle Line Cruises, you may visit in person in advance and secure boarding passes for your desired cruise, as long as the cruise time falls within the 9-day validity period.
Please note that securing your timed ticket or boarding pass in person as described above will activate your 9-day CityPASS validity period, if it has not yet been activated. Reserving a Top of the Rock time online will NOT activate the 9-day validity period.
The above attractions, as well as the 9/11 Memorial & Museum and Hornblower Sightseeing Cruises (available only with C3), allow you to make advance reservations by phone or online when you purchase individual admission tickets directly from them.
The other CityPASS attractions do not accept reservations for any ticket types.
